Creating my little plant sanctuary

Updated: Sep 9, 2022

Plants are kind of having a moment right now. Take one quick scroll

through Instagram/Pinterest and you’ll see beautiful interiors covered in

leafy vines, hanging plants, spunky succulents, and trees that liven up

every corner of a room.

And there’s a reason why everyone is so obsessed with greenery: Indoor

plants improve your mental and physical well-being in ways you probably

didn’t even realize. Ever wondered why you feel like you can breathe

easier, focus better, and simply be happier in a room full of nature? Well,

turns out these perks have existed long before our seemingly newfound

appreciation for lush spaces.

An indoor garden/decor can be your refuge from the outside world, and for

many people it is a source of great joy. Whether you live in a small

apartment, or a large house, by introducing certain plants into your home,

you will start to notice improvements to your health, and overall happiness.

As well as enhancing your mood and creating a living space that is

soothing to be in, plants can also help with loneliness and depression:

caring for a living thing gives us a purpose and is rewarding — especially

when you see that living thing bloom and thrive.

Studies have proven that house plants improve concentration

and productivity (by up to 15%), reduce stress levels, and boost

your mood.

Recently, I have started growing an inclination for plants and have tried my

hands on gardening. It was a new thing for me i have not felt more satisfied

doing something like this before. As i live in a small space i tried to

redecorate a small shelf corner with plants and mixed it up with other nicks

and nacks and budget friendly decor items. It surely has enhanced my

mood as every morning i wake up to see these plants grow and it livens the

space and there is whole lot of positive vibes around.

For some people it can be a tedious task to water the plants , but you can

always rely only small succulents and cactus which needs low maintenance

and in turn livens up your space.

To create your perfect green haven, it’s worthwhile spending a little bit of

time researching the plants are best suited for each room and what kind of

environment. Here are a few plant types I have used :

RED AGLAONEMA

JADE PLANT

CROTON CODIAEUM

POTHOS PLANT

BROMELIAD

FOLIAGE PLANT

LUCKY BAMBOO

This is a short video showing how I have revamped my small shelf corner

into a little plant sanctuary.

Trust me ! This is most budget friendly and eco friendly décor one can do to change the look of your space.

So, Don’t be lazy go buy a plant. Bring the green in.

Hope you like it… :)
